|Blue Bench, Red Window - Kamas, Utah|
Following our adventure at Provo River Falls, we stopped in Kamas on our way home for some lunch. Kamas is a quaint town that seems highly interesting. It would be nice to spend more time there and really see it.
We had lunch at the Mirror Lake Diner. It looked like a good place to eat. They had plenty of seating and we were able to get a table right away. Service was quick. The food was tasty--everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Beautiful photographs from a local artist covered the walls. It was a good stop.
After that we made our way home, first on Highway 32, then on Interstate 80, and then on Interstate 84. It's very pretty country! There were plenty of places along this route that would have been worth stopping at. We didn't have much time to spare, so those will have to wait for another day.
We did stop at The Devil's Slide (an unusual rock outcropping) near Morgan. There's a pullout right off the I-84 to see it. It's interesting, but, from a photographer's perspective, I wish there weren't powerlines right in front of it.
A little over an hour after leaving Kamas we arrived at home. We enjoyed good food and good views. This was a journey worth taking!
